Given the age of the original structure and the nature of the existing extension it was our wish to completely redesign both the function and design of the space. The end result is a pleasure to live in and has augmented the way the space across the whole house is now used. The juxtaposition between the old and new is striking but at the same time clearly compatible and sympathetic. A great deal of care was taken with proportion and materials which have added a very pleasing aesthetic value to the end result. We felt that our project was a priority for Tom even with a Lockdown and a growing family at the same time!

The design intangibles of the interaction of materials, style and proportion clearly show his contribution and flare. There is no doubt in our minds when considering the product that it's his understanding of how these interact that has made the whole thing work so well. We have a great deal more than a replacement extension, what we have now makes a huge contribution to the house as a whole both in terms of use and aesthetics.
We would be delighted, should the occasion arise, to embark on another project with Tom.’
